Seasonal Occasions are the center for most family life, especially for here in the Wilds of Wyoming where I live (Snow Country for sure). One day can be beautiful and 60 degrees in the Spring and the next -10 and frozen. We have the extremes! I suppose that is why seasonal occasions mean so much to us. Friends and/or family gathering together to celebrate despite Winter blahs and/or in this case Springtime Mud. Right now, I am busy getting ready for both St. Patrick's Day and Easter. St. Patty's Day is important to recognize the Irish as well as other nationalities that have integrated into our melting pot that is America. Additionally, I am a little bit Irish myself, and absolutely love making and eating the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage. See our page for a great recipe from my grandmother....it will be my contribution to my family's St. Patty's Day celebration. Usually we all gather that evening for dinner and a rousing round of cards and our favorite Romantic Irish old-time film, " The Quiet Man" with John Wayne of course (I do live in Western country). This satisfies both the males AND females of our group - John Wayne and romantic film fans. We hope you enjoy with your families too!
